For general line handling capability, Markey Machinery’s gear-driven capstans are built to withstand the high breaking strength of current soft lines. With single, dual and variable speeds, our capstans can be either pneumatically, hydraulically or electrically driven and can be made to operate in hazardous areas. Gearboxes can be designed for either above deck, or below deck installation with bit ratings as high as 300,000 lbs. Check with us today on all our capstan options.
